The thumbnail image representations can also be reduced or enlarged to view more or less images within the PhotoAlbum, enabling you to add or eliminate scrolling through your image collections. PhotoAlbum also has a burn to CD feature that enables you to directly burn selected images from within the application without having to open a dedicated CD recording software application. You can also generate HTML and multimedia slide shows of your images.
The File Information button enables you to view all the relevant data that is associated with a particular image file within PhotoAlbum, including the width, height, color depth, compression, file size, date created, image size, and name. This occurs simply by selecting the image and clicking on the File Information button. You can also assign descriptions, annotations and keywords to the image.
Text on a Curve
One of the new features to Picture Publisher 10 Professional is text on a curve capabilities. Previously relegated to illustration and page layout programs, text on a curve enables you to create text on a curve without having to go to an illustration program. Creating text on a curve is pretty straightforward; you just need to tweak the Bezier curve to how you want your text to twist and turn on the curve.
Text also can have multiple attributes such as bold, italics, underline, point size, color and spacing, features usually found in a text editor. You can also create vertical text without having to worry about spacing issues. However, the vertical text feature is primarily available only to Far East fonts, meaning it only works with Japanese, Chinese, and Korean fonts. I did get it to work with Western fonts, but was unable to maintain any level of control.
